What is a 7 way bypass?

A 7 way bypass is designed for vehicles which have Multi-plex wiring, Cambus systems or Bulb Failure devices which where introduced around the year 2000. This bypassprevents any faults on thetowing vehicle's light system byswitching power directly from the vehicle's battery/alternator to the trailer/caravanlight system, using very small signals from the vehicle's light system, without thevehicles check control sensors system beingadversily affected. The 7 way bypass is fitted with a audiblebuzzer which will bleep every time the indicator flashes on the trailer/caravan when towing, if no bleep can be heard this means that the indicator on the vehicle has failed which results with the indicator on the trailer/caravan failing aswell.
